General Booking Conditions
A room can be booked by a person who is 18 years of age or older. The guest or the person booking the room is responsible for any damage caused to the hotel’s property due to negligence or irresponsible behavior.
Our hotel is pet-friendly, but pets must always be reported to our hotel reception in advance, and pet rooms are only available to a limited extent. A pet fee will be charged at the reception upon check-in. If this rule is violated, the hotel will charge a pet fee afterwards, as well as a cleaning fee of at least €100. This charge will be added to the final bill of the person responsible for the reservation.
The availability of extra beds is not guaranteed and there are limited availability. Extra beds must be reported to the hotel reception in advance to ensure availability. An extra bed fee will be charged according to the current pricing, this also applies to baby travel cots.
Additional guests not reported in the reservation will be charged afterwards. The hotel’s maintenance staff and security guard have the right to remove extra people from the room and the hotel. The hotel staff and security guard also have the right to remove people who cause a general disturbance.
Changing or Cancelling a Reservation
You may change or cancel your reservation free of charge no later than 6:00 p.m. (local time) on the day before arrival. After this time, the hotel has the right to charge the first night of the reservation if the booking is cancelled or in case of no-show.
Advance payments are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or change in value. If you wish to change the dates of a prepaid reservation, please contact the hotel directly.
Hotel Rooms
Room rates include hotel breakfast and access to the fitness room. All rooms at Teatterihotelli Riihimäki are non-smoking. Smoking in the room will incur a €300 cleaning fee. Guests are responsible for their own belongings unless they have been handed over for safekeeping at the hotel. The hotel is not liable for any damage to or loss of vehicles or their contents while parked in the hotel car park. Always familiarize yourself with the location of emergency exits, alarms, and fire extinguishers.
Special Situations – Accident or Illness
official medical certificate. In such cases, we charge an administrative fee of €35 per room. Cancellations must be made before the start of the stay. To process a refund, the medical certificate or other reliable documentation must be submitted to the hotel within 14 days of the cancellation. Refunds cannot be made on the basis of documents submitted later. Cancellations or interruptions made during the stay do not entitle the guest to a refund. We recommend checking your travel insurance coverage for cancellations.
Force Majeure
In the case of force majeure or other circumstances beyond the control of Teatterihotelli Riihimäki, the hotel may cancel the reservation. In such cases, the guest is entitled to a full refund of any payments made. If payments related to the booking are not made on time, the hotel has the right to cancel the reservation. For compelling reasons, the hotel has the right to transfer the booking to another accommodation of at least the same standard. The hotel will cover any direct costs incurred by the guest due to the transfer. Hotel reservations are subject to the Finnish Accommodation and Catering Act.
Other Terms
We reserve the right to modify our booking and cancellation terms. Guests must review and accept the booking and cancellation terms in force at the time of reservation. Teatterihotelli Riihimäki processes all customer information with strict confidentiality. In matters not defined in these terms, the general booking and cancellation conditions of MaRa ry (the Finnish Hospitality Association) apply.
